Daily Fresh Food in Limburg is the largest fresh produce supplier in the south of the Netherlands. With a selection of over 15,000 fresh and sous-vide products on offer, it daily serves a clientele of over 600 companies and organisations, ranging from pubs and restaurants to hospitals and care institutions.

In order to provide its customers with products that are both very fresh and of high quality every day, an efficient and user-friendly ordering process is crucial. Given the fact that the online outlet is constantly growing, Daily Fresh Food has taken the innovative step of creating a high quality and omnichannel-oriented new online shop that will be the central pivot in the ordering process. And it has selected the e-commerce agency De Nieuwe Zaak as its full-service partner to aid it in this project.

‘Daily Fresh Food has had an excellent relationship with its customers for many years,' says Jurrien Kerstholt, CEO of De Nieuwe Zaak. ‘This new omnichannel solution is an innovation in the sector and demonstrates the company is doing everything it can to make customer-satisfaction even greater. De Nieuwe Zaak will adopt a multidisciplinary approach in assisting them to do this. We will use Intershop's e-commerce software as a powerful and proven foundation, and work closely with inRiver's PIM system to create maximum dynamism so that Daily Fresh Food can perform true online retailing. The whole package will be assembled within an experienced scrum team.'

In view of the increasing number of online orders and the challenges of cross-border supplies and sales, Daily Fresh Food needed a solution that would guarantee the time-to-market and quality of both its products and its information. For the purposes of efficiency and flexibility, Daily Fresh Food, together with its implementation partner De Nieuwe Zaak, is integrating the additional PIM in all its back-end systems. This will allow it to control the product content and media at all times, with information being transferred seamlessly to the new Intershop commerce platform for the online shop and for all other channels of communication.

‘Daily Fresh Food selected the Intershop Commerce Suite because of the complete package of business features in the standard platform for optimizing the omnichannel commerce process. All customer groups and devices are managed simply from a central B2B commerce platform, which is seamlessly integrated with the existing ERP and the additional PIM systems,' adds René Verspuij, Intershop Partner Manager.
