Imaginative sales promotion – displays for the POS

The POPAI Award finalists 2019 in our photo gallery

This year's participants impress with their attentive designs, functionality and practical handling. The contestants demonstrate the wide-ranging possibilities a display offers for presenting products and attracting attention at the point of sale.

On May 8th, the POPAI Awards will be presented in Frankfurt during a festive gala. The jury will then have selected the best advertising displays for the POS from 64 participants.

At the POPAI exhibition at EuroCIS 2019, we gained a first impression and introduce you to some of the competing displays:

Red Bull Event Car

Manufacturer: DS Smith Erlensee

Designers: René Schad, Christian Scozzari, Harald Hirmer

The Red Bull Event Car is not only an enormously large display, but also a very practical one. It folds flat and is therefore easy to transport. Plus, no customer will be able to miss this display!

OralB Giant Brush Display

Manufacturer: Ebert Kunststoffbearbeitung GmbH & Co. KG

This display definitely attracts attention: a toothbrush 2.7 metres high! But that's not all. According to the manufacturer, it provides about a 20 percent increase in sold refills. These are located conveniently at the height of the toothbrush's belly for easy access.

easy2cool festivalcooler mini

Designer: Barbara Meyer

Although the festival cooler is not a typical display, it can also be used for advertising purposes. It not only presents the goods but cools them as well. It is made of 100 percent cardboard and is therefore environmentally friendly and perfectly suited for advertising campaigns on any festival site.

HOM HVA Base 01/2019

Manufacturer: THIMM Display GmbH

Designer: Manfred Alt

The change from acrylic to cardboard seems to have been successful in this case. The choice of this material was made for economic and environmental reasons. The authentic form of this display gives away the product at first glance: even from a distance the customer can see what to expect.
