Digitalization in the retail sector is advancing inexorably and presenting retailers with new challenges and opportunities. Geck will be showcasing the latest developments in digital shopping experiences, loss prevention and smart payment solutions at the Retail Technology Show in London on April 2 and 3, 2025.
The UltimateShopper Plus revolutionizes the shopping experience with a combination of AI-based theft protection, indoor navigation and contactless payment directly at the shopping cart. Thanks to an innovative transmitter-receiver system with infrared technology, customers can be localized in real time. Based on Retail Media strategies, retailers can play out location and shopping list-based purchase recommendations in real time, for example via digital signage. This promotes the purchase of advertised products and additional revenue can be generated through cashback from suppliers.
Another highlight is the Loss Prevention technology, which uses load cells and AI supported camera systems to detect potential theft attempts at an early stage, thus helping to reduce the loss of goods - in compliance with GDPR requirements. The integrated payment solution allows customers to pay for their purchases directly at the shopping cart, making long queues at the checkout a thing of the past.
For retailers who want to retrofit existing shopping carts, Geck offers the UltimateShopper Retrofit Plus. This solution adds a large display unit with integrated scanner to classic shopping carts and offers almost all the functions of the UltimateShopper Plus.

Geck will also be presenting the Ultimate Click & Collect picking trolley, which has been specially developed for the efficient processing of online orders. This system makes it possible to process several orders simultaneously, optimizes employee routes and reduces error rates by clearly structuring orders. A waterproof and impact-resistant 10-inch full HD touch display and an integrated hand scanner facilitate the picking process and increase efficiency.
With its many years of experience in metal processing and the retail sector, Geck focuses on quality “Made in Germany” and develops all shopping cart solutions in-house. Visitors to the Retail Technology Show are invited to see the innovative possibilities of the UltimateShopper for themselves at the Geck stand.
