Marks & Spencer has officially launched its partnership with ZEOS, Zalando's B2B logistics division. The British retailer now has its entire direct-to-consumer online business fulfilled by the platform across 22 continental European markets – including France, the Netherlands, Germany and Spain, M&S's largest online markets.

By pooling stock into a central inventory and leveraging ZEOS' pan-European network, M&S says delivery costs have fallen by up to 58 percent, with overall logistics costs cut by as much as half. Returns are also set to benefit significantly: processing times are expected to shorten. The plan: down from 35 days to eight.

For Zalando, the partnership is further evidence that the company is increasingly positioning its logistics infrastructure as a standalone business for external retailers – beyond its own platform operations. The collaboration with M&S dates back to 2022, when Zalando Fulfilment Solutions initially handled only M&S's marketplace business via Zalando, About You and Amazon.

The rollout followed a pilot in Poland: in the first week, customer demand rose by 22 percent and conversion improved by more than 97 percent. Based on these results, M&S expanded the partnership across Europe.
