Apollo-Optik has chosen digital media created by netvico to present its new sports glasses collection. MySports offers eyewear in various shapes and colors that have been specially designed for athletes. The collection is characterized by quality workmanship, sophisticated technical features and casual designs. All the glasses can be fitted with prescription lenses.

In order to showcase its MySports collection, Apollo-Optik, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, has decided to create its own special glasses display in around 80 of its branches. The highlight of these displays is that customers can try on new models without the inconvenience of impaired eyesight when looking in the mirror.

»Do these glasses suit me?« A good question, and one where you want to rely not only on the opinion of others but also, and most importantly, on your own tastes and preferences. Trying on new glasses at the optician's often entails looking at blurred reflections in mirrors, but not at Apollo-Optik. The digital glasses display, featuring a 85 x 22-inch touch screen, multimedia PC and digital camera, solves this problem. netvico has developed a special application to regulate the camera and also integrated the glasses display in the branches' IT network infrastructure.

Activated via the touch screen, the camera takes a frontal or side-view picture of you with your chosen glasses, allowing you to then remove them and put on your own glasses to see whether you made the right choice. When not in use as a digital mirror, the glasses display screen shows commercials for the new sports glasses range.
