EuroCIS, The Leading Trade Fair for Retail Technology, will again post an increase next year after its record year 2015. As early as November the 10,000 m² mark of booked net exhibition space was already exceeded (EuroCIS 2015: 9,130m² net). Over 340 exhibitors from 24 countries will be presenting all innovative technology solutions revolving around retail from 23 to 25 February 2016. To the tune of 9,000 international visitors are expected.

EuroCIS is a “must-go” event for the decision-makers in the industry because retail technology has never been more important for retailers. Companies invest more in retail-specific IT solutions in order to stay attractive for their shoppers, who themselves are extremely well “geared up” and networked switching back and forth between channels in real time. Retailers must make the largest array of services available across all channels because those retailers missing out on the omni-channel megatrend will face tough times in future.

EuroCIS will provide an overview of current strategies and solutions for optimum networking of all channels in both the specifically created Omnichannel Area and in the integrated Omnichannel Forum. In exciting talks (bi-lingual in German/English) Best Practice examples will be shared. In the Omnichannel Area predominantly young enterprises will be represented such as Bluetrade E-Commerce, Inventorum, Mangold & Mangold, Phizzard GmbH and Tradebyte Software, to name but a few .

In addition to this, visitors can find start-ups with extremely interesting solutions at an already fully booked-up stand sponsored by BMWI, the German Ministry of Economics and Technology, namely Apinauten GmbH, CashConcepts Europe GmbH, Fehn IT-Solutions, Gesture Powered GmbH, metoda GmbH, pro.net.expert. GmbH, SayWay GmbH and 42reports GmbH.

After its successful launch in 2015, EuroCIS 2016 will also once again offer the Guided Innovation Tours (lasting 90 minutes), organised by PlanetRetail for visitors calling on selected exhibitors. The focus here will be on start-ups and companies with innovative product and process solutions.

At EuroCIS 2016 a welcome first “port of call” for networking in a pleasant atmosphere will be the Schlumberger Retail-Lounge in the centre of Hall 10. A Happy Hour will be hosted here on the first and second trade fair day from 4.30 pm.

EuroCIS 2016 will see ibeacons being used in the exhibition halls for the second time now with a view to providing exhibitors and visitors with exclusive information, valuable services related to the trade fair as well as attractive activities for making their stay in Düsseldorf even more pleasant. At the airport, central station and the exhibition centre car parks the key information is already available through Geofencing via the further developed EuroCIS App.

EuroCIS in Halls 9 and 10 of the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre will be open to trade visitors daily from Tuesday 23 February 2016 until Thursday 25 February 2016, from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm. Day tickets cost EUR 22 (EUR 17 online in advance), and two-day tickets cost EUR 40 (EUR 30 online in advance). University students and trainees pay EUR 10.00. Each ticket includes free transport to and from the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre on local VRR buses, trams and trains.
