Spire Payments presents its mPOS range at RBTE 2015
Looking for a supplier with industry-leading expertise in mPOS? Spire Payments can help. The third largest and fastest growing European terminal vendor, Spire Payments, not only offers a complete range of world-class secure retail payment solutions, from fixed through to unattended terminals, but is also a leading mPOS solution provider.
Spire Payments has a vast amount of experience partnering many of the major acquirers and PSPs to deliver mobile payment solutions to merchants and retailers of any size. With over 20 mPOS deployments globally, amounting to over 100,000 chip and PIN devices in the field, Spire Payments will be showcasing the latest additions to its mPOS range: the SPm20 and SPm2. Both communicate with smart mobile devices via Bluetooth, support NFC and contactless, and meet the industry’s most stringent EMV and PCI PTS 4.x SRED technical and security requirements.
This exciting technology is perfectly placed for retailers who want to stimulate additional sales and enhance the customer’s shopping experience. The benefits of mPOS technology to a retailer include:
- enabling a mobile workforce to take card payments;
- bringing payment to the customer on the shop floor;
- integrating with powerful tablet applications offering potential upselling opportunities;
- reducing customer waiting times (queue busting);
- reducing cumbersome and expensive cash registers/POS systems;
- providing the flexibility to deploy additional POS during busy periods;
- and enabling direct marketing and data mining capabilities by linking mPOS with mobile apps and beacon technology.
The SPm20 incorporates contactless and NFC capability (payWave, PayPass and ExpressPay certified) and a full docking option for USB communications and power. The resultant versatile mobile payment platform can be used across all retail sectors: micro merchant, SME and Tier 1 & 2. The SPm20 also supports Spire Payments’ comprehensive Linux-based inSPire development environment, enabling flexible, simple and rapid interfacing with mobile payment applications.
Its ‘little brother’, the SPm2, specifically meets the needs of the micro merchant by providing a device that is compact, simple to use, robust, competitively priced and with excellent battery life. This is achieved by the SPm2 utilising a secure 32-bit RISC processor, high-speed memory, large display and a clearly defined numeric keyboard, whilst also being compatible with mobile devices running a payment application on Android, Apple iOS or Windows Mobile operating systems.
Nick Parsons , Spire Payments’ Managing Director for Northern Europe explains, ‘mPOS is central to Spire Payments’ retail strategy, and our rapid expansion into new global markets with major acquirers and PSPs demonstrates the potential of this technology. Building on the success of our PosMate Smart, we are extremely excited by the addition of the newly launched SPm20 and SPm2. Please visit our stand at RBTE 2015 (272 & 273) to discuss your retail card acceptance requirements and our experienced team will be pleased to assist.’
