A retail technology platform that enables customers to shop online with their local store associates, today announces online shoppers can now shop directly with their local big box retailer through the first-of-its-kind platform, Salesfloor Storefront™ for Stores.

With Salesfloor Storefronts big box retailers create local versions of their e-commerce website for each store location. Pharmacy, Sporting goods, Cosmetics, Home hardware and Consumer Electronic stores use Storefronts to personalize the shopping experience for their local customers. For example, in-store associates at Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us share the responsibility of serving their online customers during their shift. When first-time parents shop online with their local store, they get served by a real life store associate who understands how to serve customers and provide product recommendations.

"Shopping with big box retailers online has become increasingly intimidating, with thousands of products and no service or help," said Oscar Sachs, Co-Founder and CEO of Salesfloor. "Together with our retail partners, we're allowing customers to shop online directly with their local store, so they can get a similar experience online as they do in-store. Customers get to connect online to a trusted in-store advisor who knows exactly what merchandise is available and what products to recommend."

A recent revealed that 38 percent of all purchases were a result of cross channel activities. With consumers increasingly shopping across in-store and digital channels, the role of today's in-store sales associate is no longer limited to serving customers on the physical sales floor, but also to service the local online customer.

"By connecting associates to their local customers, our retail clients are creating relationships with their customers at scale, while increasing the online sales conversion rate and driving incremental sales in-store," explains Oscar Sachs. "This is especially important when customers are considering an important purchase such as large household appliances, electronics, baby products and other categories that require research and product knowledge. Our Storefront for Stores platform ensures associates can provide product expertise and service wherever the customer chooses to shop."

Some of today's largest store brands are seeing an immediate impact with Salesfloor's technology. When customers connect with associates using Salesfloor's platform, retailers see a 10x lift in the online sales conversion rate, a 50 percent increase in average order value and up to a 3x lift in email marketing open rates. Salesfloor clients also use Storefronts to acquire new, local customer relationships at scale for their business.

Salesfloor also offers a similar platform for associates, called Storefront for Associates™. Instead of shopping with local stores, customers can shop with individual associates and personal shoppers. Storefront for Associates™ has been used with great success by brands such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's and Stuart Weitzman.
