SA2 Worldsync Launches Price Synchronization
Much anticipated SA2 Worldsync Pricesync automates sharing of price and conditions through GDSN
SA2 Worldsync, a leading provider of master data services for global commerce, today announced a new price synchronization service that allows trading partners to share confidential pricing and condition information through its data pool. Suppliers, distributors and retailers will use the new SA2 Worldsync Pricesync service to improve invoice and order accuracy as well as increase overall supply chain efficiency. SA2 Worldsync Pricesync is certified to meet the price synchronization standard recently set by the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN), of which SA2 Worldsync is a leading participant.
"Price synchronization adds an important new dimension to trade by eliminating some of the most common friction points among trading partners: inaccurate invoices and orders," said Björn Bayard, SA2 Worldsync executive director. "By automatically synchronizing price and conditions information, trading partners using SA2 Worldsync Pricesync can streamline trade and build more productive supply chains and partnerships. Before price sync, partners typically shared information about negotiated prices, deals and conditions through error-prone, manual means. Now, with a more precise way to share this proprietary data, partners can spend less time addressing issues and focus more on how to get products to market faster."
According to Armand Schins, merchandising support manager for Netherlands-based retailer Albert Heijn Commerce, "We look forward to working with our partners to integrate price sync into our GDSN practices. By automating the sharing of this proprietary pricing and deals information, we expect to improve the accuracy and timeliness of many business practices. We are eager to get started since SA2 Worldsync Pricesync supports our quest to automate what we can and simplify what we must, to improve every step possible."
SA2 Worldsync customers can synchronize price data with any GDSN-connected recipient via a direct machine-to-machine link or through a Web portal, which will be available soon. Many complementary services will support price data sharing. Using SA2 Worldsync Webforms, suppliers can enter and maintain data online for the relationship, condition and price type segment. Partners will then use SA2 Worldsync Webapproval to review, validate and confirm price data easily and electronically.
