Non-stop performance: New sounders from Bosch guarantee uninterrupted alarm
- Functional even during power cuts
- Exceed VdS 2095 requirements
- Inbuilt high-output power sources
Bosch Security Systems is broadening its portfolio of sounders by adding the model series FNM-420U to its existing range. The new devices guarantee a safe, instantaneous and uninterrupted alarm signal. This is the case even when the power supply is disrupted simultaneously on both sides of the device and the transmission path has been permanently destructed by, for example, fire. In doing so, the devices exceed the requirements of the VdS 2095 standard. This standard, introduced and upheld by Germany’s independent company for loss prevention (VdS), allows an interruption of the alarm for a maximum of five seconds in case of loop errors. This technical innovation also allows for an uninterrupted alarm signal on stubs. Thanks to a low consumption of power, up to 100 notification appliances can be connected to the LSN-Ring, which saves loop modules.
High durability
The internal power source has been laser sealed and is therefore resistant to variations of extreme temperatures. Gold contacts ensure long-lasting durability of the notification appliances. Like all products of the 420 Series, the new models also feature safe alerts with a sound level of up to 100 decibel.
Easy assembly and integration into existing systems
It is easy to incorporate the devices into existing loops and stubs of the Modular fire panel 5000 Series from Bosch.
As already the case with the FNM-420 A model, they can be assembled via a latchable mounting plate. The mounting plate is included in the delivery of the notification appliance. Compatibility with existing components, such as e.g. the FMN-Cover and FMN-Spacer is ensured. The new notification appliances can be used both indoors and for outdoor areas.
