Into the light! EuroShop 2014: “Lighting Designer’s Zone” celebrates premiere
Focus on Freelance Light Planners and Light Designers
The lighting sector has been booming at EuroShop as never before. In 2014 the lighting theme will occupy all of Hall 11 with 16,600 m² of net exhibition space.
Here the complete spectrum of modern lighting technology and design for store lighting will be presented – be it light for promoting sales, as an emotional design tool in store design, for corporate light concepts or energy-efficient and sustainable architectural lighting. One thing is for sure: in the retail trade lighting is an important tool to make shopping a sensual experience. And it serves not one but several purposes at a time – from rapid orientation through highlighting to staging retail spaces.
This is also why there is a growing number of designers who specialise in lighting concepts for retail. It is precisely these freelance light planners and designers that EuroShop now wants to highlight by installing a dedicated platform, the “Lighting Designer’s Zone”. This special area will be located centrally in Hall 11. Here international trade visitors with a retail background are invited to learn about current projects and light planning options and get expert advice on custom lighting design solutions. In terms of concept the “Lighting Designer’s Zone” follows the “Designer Village” at EuroShop, which was inaugurated especially for architects and designers with a retail focus as early as 2005 and has formed a successful integral part of EuroShop since.
