From May 13 - 16 2013, IFSEC will be celebrating its 40th anniversary at the NEC in Birmingham, UK. Once again, the entire security procurement chain will come together in one place.

Bosch Security Systems, on display in hall 4, booth E75, will be focusing on its latest HD video security innovations, providing customers with HD Security Breakthrough solutions. They cover a wide range of applications – from home use to large airports, not only with a broad camera line up, but also including new storage and video management solutions.

Dynamic Transcoding Technology

This behind-the-scenes process changes a video file to a different format on the fly to suit the available bandwidth without compromising on the original image quality, which is displayed instantly when the image is paused. This technology enables viewing in HD quality from any location at any time, as long as there is an internet connection available.

DINION and FLEXIDOME starlight 7000 cameras

With their high sensitivity in both color and monochrome modes, the next generation HD cameras work with minimal ambient light, delivering clear images in a multitude of applications, even where poor lighting is a major challenge. To overcome challenging lighting conditions, Content-Based Imaging Technology (CBIT) makes use of Bosch’s Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA). CBIT automatically detects important objects and dynamically re-tunes the imaging settings to ensure highly-detailed objects of interest are captured. Furthermore, intelligent Dynamic Noise Reduction (iDNR) actively analyzes the contents of a static scene to reduce bandwidth and storage requirements.

IP micro and FLEXIDOME 2000 family cameras

Providing more detailed images with less noise, the cameras are specifically designed for indoor areas with stable lighting, and are characterized by an appealing design. They come in two different versions with microbox and microdome designs. They bring the highest level of detail to match both application and budget, making them ideally suited for small to medium-sized installations, such as retail and homes. They are designed as a complete networked video system, including a Dropbox application for cloud storage and require 50 percent less storage space in static scenes.

IP bullet and FLEXIDOME 5000 family cameras

IP bullet 5000 and FLEXIDOME 5000 cameras deliver the latest IP imaging technology for every day, mainstream professional yet affordable video surveillance. With 720p HD, 1080p HD and 5MP resolutions, the cameras provide increased image detail both indoors and outside. Selected models also feature integrated infrared illumination with up to 50 feet (15 meters) of viewing distance for round-the-clock surveillance. The cameras are ideal for office buildings, schools, larger retail shops, and similar applications.

Feature-rich, free-of-charge video client

All IP and HD cameras come with Bosch Video Client PC software available free of charge for reviewing live and recorded video on a PC. The viewer comes as standard with integrated Forensic Search and Smart Search. The Bosch Video Security App provides the same features from any location with internet access for iPad or iPhone.

Plug-and-play HD video management

The DIVAR IP series of all-in-one video management systems com-bine a network recorder, storage array, client workstation and integrated software. The appliances feature recording, viewing and export for high definition, megapixel and standard definition resolutions. The intuitive user interface can display streams in two ratios, and offers interactive site maps, playback controls, and search utilities. Integration capabilities include support for ONVIF-conformant devices, ATM/POS data and Bosch’s Intelligent Video Analysis. The DIVAR IP 3000 supports up to 32 channels making it ideal for smaller installations, such as retail, education and banking. The DIVAR IP 7000 also comes pre-licensed for 32 channels and can be easily expanded. The new DIVAR IP 2000 and 6000 storage devices can be added to all models in the series when larger capacities are required.

The Integration Partner Program

The IPP addresses integrators and installers who are looking to seamlessly combine security components, such as cameras, recorders, storage and software, as well as analysis, in one security infrastructure, including products from Bosch. On the IPP online portal, users can select applications and products, as well as see the features that the program offers. In order to cover a multitude of components, Bosch has teamed up with such partners as Genetec, Milestone and VidSys. ippboschsecurity.com.

4K imaging

The next generation imaging solutions from Bosch will feature a 12MP sensor that is configurable to 4K mode – an industry first. In 4K mode, the cameras transmit video at up to 30 frames per second for smooth motion – the highest performance available within the industry today. And, at full 12MP resolution, the cameras stream video at 20 frames per second. Delivered in a number of form factors the cameras are suitable for a wide range of applications. For a complete 4K solution, Bosch will be offering monitors, video management software, recording and transcoding solutions, ensuring the best image quality possible from these advanced surveillance systems.
