Intelligent Business Systems has installed EPOS and business management solutions at nine Rick Stein food outlets in the UK.

IBS originally installed EPOS solutions at Rick Stein’s retail outlets three years ago and was successful pitching for the expanding group’s diverse range of hospitality outlets, which include restaurants, fish and chips shops, a cafe, pub and cookery school.

“We have a broad range of operations and we want them all to be able to communicate with each other and provide data for the management teams. There are also numerous cross-selling opportunities across the business so we want to develop loyalty and gift card schemes to reward and thank our customers. As a growing multisite operator, we wanted to ensure that we selected the right systems solution partner to support our business goals,” said Martin Glinski, Rick Stein’s Head of Operations.

“The business is very diverse,  combining fish retailing, food-to-go and high level dining as well as hotel accommodation. One of our primary tasks was to join up all aspects of the business using one system, which also incorporates table reservations and loyalty and gift cards across the business,” said IBS managing director, Gareth Powell.

As well as POSLink touchscreen technology and StockLink management software, IBS provided EPOS terminals with rear advertising screens, tablets for table ordering, Verifone chip and pin and kitchen video management systems for restaurants in Falmouth, Padstow and Fistral. The EPOS-driven solution integrates with Res Diary for table reservations, Fourth SB for staffing and Guestline-Rezlynx for overnight accommodation.

IBS works with well-known multiple brands like Bath Ales, Brakspear, Cirrus Inns, EAT, GBK, Harry Ramsden’s, Itsu, Mark Warner, Patisserie Valerie, Peach Pub Co, POD, Revolution Bars Group, Spudulike and Vital Ingredient. Its cloud-based, EPOS-driven solutions are tailored to specific client requirements.
