Artema Portable, using secure DECT technology, is a wireless payment terminal for online and offline transactions in environments where greater flexibility is required. Card payment is taken to the cardholder, enabling merchants to ensure greater convenience and improved service. The terminal is designed to be used in restaurants, cafés, hotels, retail outlets, and other points of sale where enhanced customer service is of the essence.
Mobility and versatility
The DECT wireless link guarantees secure and reliable data transmission from the handset to the base, which connects to the landline network using a high speed built-in modem or ISDN module. Additionally, the base can be integrated with local networks, or broadband routers using TCP/IP. Several handhelds can also be connected to a single base, providing increased payment capacity.
Robust and ergonomic design
Artema Portable has an intuitive, user-friendly keyboard and a clear graphic display, for added convenience. The “Easy-Click” paper loading system, prevents printer jams and ensures fast changes of paper reel. With its sturdy construction Artema Portable is designed to stand up to rigorous daily use, in the most testing environments.
High transaction speed
With a powerful 32-bit RISC processor, fast printer and high speed communication modules, Artema Portable guarantees rapid transaction speed, reducing waiting times for both customers and staff.
Secure PIN entry
The internal PIN pad meets all payment industry security standards, for all debit, credit and e-purse schemes using chip or magnetic stripe technology. Additionally, Artema Portable is linked to a terminal management system (TMS) which allows remote configuration, software download and problem diagnosis, optimising terminal maintenance and support.
