Artema PIN Retail is a high-performance Chip and PIN device for connecting to EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) systems. It has been designed to meet the specific requirements of retailers and oil companies. With its dual card readers, Artema PIN Retail allows merchants to accept payment with EMV cards without increasing transaction time.

User-friendly customer interface
Artema PIN Retail is compact and robust, with a built-in shield to protect the confidentiality of the cardholder's PIN. The dual chip and magnetic stripe card readers allow customers to initiate transactions without handing over their card. Additionally, Artema PIN Retail benefits from an intuitive and tactile keypad, as well as a large graphics display, for enhanced ease of use.

Secure PIN entry
Artema PIN Retail is fully EMV chip and PIN capable. It provides maximum security and processing speed for any card scheme, including debit, credit, e-purse and proprietary schemes. Artema PIN Retail is PED certified (PIN Entry Device).

Versatile communication interfaces
Artema PIN Retail supports connection to cash registers and to all Thales integrated payment solutions either in RS 232 or USB mode. Cabling is simplified by the use of a single cable for data transmission and power supply.

Easy application development
Artema PIN Retail is based on the Artema platform providing portability of applications. The Software Development Kit (SDK) enables fast and cost-effective development of new value-added applications (e.g. loyalty and proprietary schemes) thus reducing time-to-market and protecting customers’ investment.
