E-Rail® - An electronic in-store sales promotion system

TOSHIBA TEC Europe, a leading retail and industrial automation solutions provider, announced E-Rail®, an electronic in-store sales promotion system used to actually place product and promotion at the point of purchase.

The majority of purchase decisions are made at the point of purchase. To influence this decision is a key retail objective. Brand owners want to ensure that their best-selling brands are displayed at one attractive location within the retail outlet. In as much space that it would be able to gain, the brand owner wants the retailer to stock every single brand and pack. In addition, the displays need to be arranged in a specific manner so that the consumer is attracted to and buy their favourite brand.

Koen Willems, TOSHIBA TEC European Product Manager: “E-Rail is ideal to use as a New Generation sales promotion tool to consolidate shelf space for a wide range of items and attract customers with a multimedia offer using animation, movie, switching display content and sound.”

The benefits of E-Rail:

  1. Narrowcasting opportunities
  2. Interactive communications with the shopper
  3. Seasonal decoration
  4. Flexible lay out with price display
  5. Promotion video

The TOSHIBA TEC E-Rail automatically switches on by sensing a customer is near the display.
