Equipped with AMD’s current fusion processors, which combine the CPU and GPU, high resolution videos are played without interruption. By rejecting fans and the use of industry components, the device is maintenance free. The Signage PC 212f with 1.2 GHz and high performance ATI HD-Radeon Graphics is the smallest of its type with an especially flat 34 mm housing without cooling fins and a volume of 0.8 litres.
Apart from the pure hardware, free of cost PC Management software is enclosed with the Signage-PC. Using this device,
On-/Off times, BIOS Updates, new operating systems and much more can be maintained and played in remotely via the Internet or LAN.
AMD’s new fusion processor lies at the heart of the Signage PC, which combines the main and graphics processor. AMD's fast 1.2 GHz single core processor and ATI's efficient Radeon HD6250 graphics components, function highly effectively together with DirectX 11 support in the process. Apart from smooth playing of high intensity digital signage content, particular attention was paid to high energy efficiency. Thus, the Signage-PC 212f requires approx. 12 watts and can therefore be passively cooled and do without a fan. The fan-less construction and the use of SSDs as a storage medium means that there are small mobile parts in the Signage PC, establishing a maintenance free and long life 24 hour operation period.
Moreover, due to its especially low housing volume of a mere 0.8 litres, about as large as two DVD sleeves placed on top of each other (14.8 x 16.5 x 3.4 cm) as well as the rejection of cooling fins, the device can be splendidly installed in racks, cupboards, steles, screens etc. It has two digital monitor connections (Display Port and DVI-I) with a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels.
Apart from four USB 2.0, additional technical properties are also two serial ports, which enable display management, for example. A GB LAN port is available for network communication and thanks to the full-size Mini PCI Express socket location, there is an optional 802.11 a/b/g/n WLAN module. A 3G module can also be optionally selected for data transmission, for which the SIM card holder can be found on the main board. Its expanded input voltage range of 12V – 19V can also be integrated into many kinds of scenarios.
System integrators and re-sellers will obtain very attractive special terms and conditions.
