When used in combination with packaging machines by Gruppo Fabbri, foods such as meat, sausages, cheese and vegetables can be variably labeled in supermarket pre-packaging rooms with the GLM-Emaxx automac labeler.

In addition to weight-related and fixed weight packaging, GLM-Emaxx automac also labels fixed values and prices. The semi-automatic unit can be simply integrated into existing networks and operated remotely from a central location.

If products need to be efficiently pre-packaged and labeled in a supermarket preparation area, packaging and labeling machines need to be able to work together without an intermediate step. The GLM-Emaxx automac price labeler can be integrated seamlessly into the automac stretch-film packaging machine, weighing from 2 grams to six kilograms in one weighing area. Labels can be printed at a maximum speed of 200 millimeters per second. The data required for the labeling is transferred by a central server to all devices regardless of location. This is of particular benefit in the case of daily fluctuating prices, as the same prices can be set across a whole chain of supermarkets.

Label rolls of up to a diameter of 30cm can be inserted into the labeler. This is of particular advantage when using larger labels, as this reduces the amount of set-up time for changing rolls. Changing the labels can also be carried out in a few simple steps.

Whether one or two dimensional barcodes such as Data Matrix or QR code, the labeler prints all types using a thermal transfer or thermal direct transfer process. Thanks to UNICODE compatibility, Chinese character sets can also be edited and printed. The printing unit can be maintained and adjusted without any tools, which reduces downtime. In the event of a fault, it is possible to access the system worldwide via remote service.

The GLM-Emaxx automac is also equipped with new PC-based hardware and two gigabytes of memory, which enables faster and more efficient preparation of the label data. Service staff can quickly initiate program updates, line backups, full backups and service printouts via an external USB connection. A further internal USB connection enables process data to be recorded and used for statistical analysis. For easier control, the GLM-Emaxx automac has a seven-inch screen, which is also available as a twelve-inch touchscreen option. The user interface can be adapted to suit the individual requirements of the customer.
