Tlantic is one of the finalists at the World Retail Awards 2014, an event which since 2007 has awarded prizes to projects which recognise innovation, diversity and excellence in the retail sector globally.
Tlantic, who developed the loyalty card app for Continente is one of only six finalists from around the world, nominated under the category “Customer experience of the year”. This category recognises and awards prizes to retailers from all over the world which present disruptive, innovative multichannel initiatives.
Amongst many other features the Continente App allows customers to benefit from discount coupons without having to have the hard copy version with them, rather they can be browsed and used directly from the Smartphone screen at the POS. The application has many other benefits, such as points & cash balance enquiries, that can be used at the time of purchase. The Continente App – available for iOS and for Android – was recently recognised as the product and campaign of the month by Marketeer, a Portuguese magazine specialising in marketing.
The final ceremony of the World Retail Awards takes place in Paris on September 30th the date on which the jury will announce the winners of each of the categories. The application developed by Tlantic for Continente is competing for the “Customer experience of the year” prize alongside solutions from six other retail brands, and distribution chains, such as Carrefour, Lidl and Harvey Nichols.
