Telenor Connexion, the leading enabler of connected services, today announced that Robert Bellwaldius has joined the company as VP of Operations. Bellwaldius was most recently Chief Operating Officer at Wireless Maingate.

In this new position, Bellwaldius will oversee all aspects of business operations and service delivery, as well as key suppliers. This recruitment, along with recent acquisitions and an added services offering, signals an organizational shift and an ambitious plan for substantial growth in the coming years.

Bellwaldius will bring a combination of industry experience and operational excellence.

“Having worked in this business for many years I see it as a fantastic opportunity to join Telenor Connexion, which has been a leading force in connected services and machine-to-machine connectivity and is recognized for its innovative solutions”, said Bellwaldius.

“What I find compelling is that Telenor Connexion has operations as a key area in its strategy. This clearly shows an understanding for the importance of highly qualitative operations of delivered solutions“, Bellwaldius continues. “And I’m excited to be working with an incredible experienced team to accelerate the growth of our company and help it evolve in ways that will keep Telenor Connexion at the forefront of the industry”, Bellwaldius said, with regard to his new role.

Bellwaldius spent the last eighteen years within the telecommunication industry in a variety of leadership roles at companies like Europolitan, Vodafone and Telenor. Robert Bellwaldius also has a background from the Swedish Defense Industry where he was one of the project managers in the Swedish joint-company project JAS39 Gripen, managing projects and deliverables to the Swedish DoD. Bellwaldius holds a Master of Science in Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering from Linköping University.

“I’m delighted to have Robert Bellwaldius on the team. Bellwaldius understands the industry and brings vast operational experience and a deep M2M knowledge. The appointment is a part of our strategy to further strengthen our operations to serve our rapidly increasing customer base”, said Per Simonsen, CEO of Telenor Connexion.

“Bellwaldius is joining an already successful, energetic team at the perfect time to spearhead Bellwaldius extensive operational experience”.

Robert Bellwaldius assumed his position on April 1. He will report to the CEO and be a member of the Telenor Connexion Management Team.

Stephen Bryant, who previously had the role as both CTO and VP of Operations, continues to be responsible for the technical department.
