Maxa Technologies (Maxatec) has announced the release of the new Xplore DT4000 POS PDA for Android and the Catchwell CW31 rugged mobile computer.

With the explosive growth in device adoption over recent years, Android has become one of the most popular operating systems for mobiles devices in the world. However, as the Android operating system and its devices mainly target the consumer market, it has held back enterprise adoption by system integrators. The Xplore DT4000 has been designed with enterprise in mind and delivers unique and advanced control features giving enterprise management complete peace of mind. The device boasts powerful performance in terms of speed and operating time, as well as enhanced WiFi stability, and easy field deployment and remote management features.

The CW31 IP65 rated mobile computer from Catchwell has powerful processing capabilities, a large memory capacity as well as advanced and high speed wireless technology.  Suitable for a range of applications such as field service, logistics and facility management, the CW31 also features a number of data collection options including a Micro SD expansion slot, 1D/2D barcode scanning, 3.0MP auto focus camer, and HF/UHF RFID.

Steve Berry, Director commented: 'We are delighted to add the DT4000 and CW31 to our range of mobile devices. Our mobile computing portfolio has grown significantly over the past 12 months and our supply partners continue to demonstrate their ability to differentiate themselves from some of the leading brands.  Whilst we do not sell some of the mainstream brands, our focus is always to provide quality, high performance and reliability at a competitive price to our customers. Our growth achievement in the past 18 months is testimony that we are getting it right.'
