Nelt tracks healthcare products and enhances logistics management with Aldata G.O.L.D.
Centralized Warehousing, Distribution Management and European Traceability Legislation Drive Adoption of Capacity Planning, Productivity Management and Advanced Unit-Level Tracking
Aldata Solution, a leading provider of software solutions to the retail industry, today announced that Nelt, the leading Serbian distribution company, will improve its warehouse capacity planning and productivity management by taking advantage of advanced features in G.O.L.D. Stock and by implementing G.O.L.D. C-Plan. Using G.O.L.D. Stock’s traceability functionality, Nelt can now track healthcare and medical products by unique unit-level identifiers and across links in the supply chain. This, along with the ability to analyze stock data in real time, ensures Nelt can respond to product recalls quickly and efficiently as well as meet European healthcare traceability legislation.
With more than 1000 employees and 50,000 square meters of warehouse space, Nelt is a leading 3PL and distributor for Kraft Foods International, Wrigley and Procter & Gamble products, in Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia. Nelt originally deployed Aldata G.O.L.D. Stock, G.O.L.D. Radio and G.O.L.D. Transport in its central warehouse in Belgrade in 2004.
“Using Aldata G.O.L.D., we have successfully improved our supply chain operations through optimized costs, quality of service delivered, and by tracking key information in warehouse operations,” said Zoran Orlic, Nelt’s Supply Chain Manager. “Thanks to that, our current accuracy index is 99.6%, and we will further improve the quality of our services by implementing the module for enhancing productivity and dynamic routing of shipments.”
In addition to the traceability functionality, Nelt will use Aldata’s C-Plan to improve its warehouse capacity planning and productivity management. With C-Plan, warehouse managers in Nelt’s logistics network can assess their daily workload and resource performance for the short and long term. Managers can identify potential anomalies related to the different handling capacities, both human and material resources, assess the impact and recalibrate plans as necessary.
“Nelt is one of the most prestigious companies in the retail and logistics industry in this region,” said Ivan Guzelj, managing director of Aldata Solution Slovenia. “Nelt embraces technology, best practices and new standards of excellence including traceability requirements. Aldata successfully supported Nelt’s tremendous business growth in Serbia and the region, and I’m confident the results of this project will demonstrate equal performance with respect to aligning its business with European standards and legislations.”
