Mercator goes live with Aldata Warehouse ManagementMercator, one of the largest retail chains in South East Europe with more than 1400 stores across 7 countries, has gone live with its deployment of Aldata’s Warehouse Management Solution at its new 33,000 square metre regional distribution centre in Sveta Nedelja in Croatia.
Aldata’s solution was deployed to fulfil Mercator’s strategic objectives to simplify and accelerate the delivery of goods from the distribution centre to store shelves and is already yielding significant improvements. For Mercator, investing in its supply chain is critical to its continued development as a major European retailer.
Additionally, Aldata’s warehouse management solution has gone live in Mercator’s second largest distribution centre, the 20,000 square metre centre at Ptuj fulfils approximately 30% of Mercator's distribution in Slovenia. The implementation, over 3 phases, included the management and execution of Aldata’s Warehouse Management System in parallel with the legacy solution, the subsequent partial replacement of the legacy system across a number of warehouse zones and synchronization with a Route Planning System, which has resulted in optimized and streamlined store deliveries. The complexity of the implementation was managed very effectively by the Mercator and Aldata teams who combined their professionalism and expertise to deliver this major success.
