Retail brand and supplier engagement specialists Solutions for Retail Brands (S4RB) are now a proud partner of Women Impacting Storebrand Excellence (WISE), a non-profit professional development organization within the store brand industry.

The mission of WISE is to foster diverse collaboration and provide leadership that drives the continued success of the store brands industry. There is a synergy between the WISE mission and S4RB’s work with retailer projects focused on diversity and responsible sourcing. These shared values made the membership opportunity an obvious choice for S4RB.

S4RB works with private brand retailers, helping them to deliver quality and competitive private label products by better engaging with suppliers. Supplier engagement is the level of commitment a supplier has to a retailer’s brand, values, and goals. These goals could be short-term projects or taking suppliers on the journey to achieve long-term business objectives.

S4RB’s supplierENGAGE solution helps to communicate, support and share relevant information and performance data within the supply chain. This drives successful engagement around initiatives such as own-brand product development, product quality, responsible sourcing, diversity, and sustainability.

Earlier this year, S4RB used their engagement expertise to support WISE with the delivery of their first WISE member engagement survey. The survey aimed to measure engagement of current members of WISE with a view to understand what is working well, what development opportunities exist, and membership ideas that will help shape the future strategy of the organization.

A key finding of the survey was that 56% of WISE members were unaware of the professional development program that is available to them. The WISE professional development program is a valuable resource which provides members with valuable development resources and seminars to assist them in career advancement and leadership goals. This particular finding revealed an opportunity to raise awareness of the many professional development benefits available. Members cited networking opportunities, including webinars, as the most valuable part of the WISE professional development program, which was closely followed by the professional resources provided to members.

WISE is pleased to announce a new, exclusive WISE member benefit – the WRC – the WISE Resource Center. This comprehensive and expert on-line library offers career and business development articles, white papers, books, and videos covering topics that include diversity, business case analysis, marketing, change management, and leadership.

“S4RB provided a valuable resource to WISE. With their partnership and resources, the first WISE partner and member engagement survey was developed and flawlessly executed. The results assisted the WISE Board of Directors in developing strategic goals and tools for 2016 and beyond,” says Peggy Davies, Chair, Board of Directors for WISE.

Steven Howell, S4RB’s Director of Business Development North America: “Our partnership and support of WISE is of Strategic importance to us as we continue to expand and grow in North America. We continue to pledge our support to WISE in the journey of driving greater diversity in the Private Label Industry.”
