
Innovative Technology (ITL) reported a stand-out show at EuroShop in Düsseldorf last week with a record number of customers and partners visiting their booth. With 1840 exhibitors from 61 countries and 81,000 visitors at the 2026 show, this five day retail festival brought together the entire industry – retailers, innovators and decision-makers to network, innovate and exchange information on a global scale.
Thorsten Labusch, Senior Business Development Manager for ITL said, “This year the booth had live demos of our note, coin and age verification solutions functioning together, showcasing our technology for both self-checkouts and attended till points. There was a real buzz about how our devices can successfully provide a frictionless customer experience, moving customers who pay with cash through the checkout quickly with seamless age verification when age-restricted goods are purchased.”
Thorsten continued. “It was fantastic to see so many of our products highlighted on customer booths with some great collaborations and integrations on display. One of the key takeaways from the show this year was the amount of retail operators, integrators and POS manufacturers who visited our booth actively seeking out our solutions following recommendations from partners and customers. MyCheckr age estimation device at the SCO was the most popular application and as it is now being deployed by some major retailers we received many requests for more information which was exciting to see. There was also lots of interest in MyCheckrMini (a compact version without the screen) and ICU Lite for fully integrated age verification. When automating cash transactions visitors were impressed with the combined power of the NV4000 Spectral with SMART Coin System or the Twin for double the capacity to provide mixed denomination note and coin recycling at fast speeds to optimise customer transactions.”
