AWEK presents compact POS-System smartTOUCH 2015 at EuroCIS 2012
New POS-System for the Retail Trade
The hardware portfolio of AWEK, provider of complete solutions for the retail trade, has been enhanced by a new compact POS system. The compact POS terminal smartTOUCH 2015 is easily operated via a touch screen and allows retailers to connect up a large variety of peripherals to upgrade the system. Its fan-less design makes the system robust and fail-safe, even in dirty environments.
The projected capacitive surface of smartTOUCH 2015 is extremely stable due to its protective glass with hardness rating 6H. For comparison, the hardness of diamond is 10H. The POS system is equipped with a 15“ flat screen in an aluminium housing which makes it suitable also for heavy-duty checkout environments. The touch screen is dustproof and splash-resistant and is classified as protection class IP64 in compliance with EU standards.
The compact POS terminal is equipped with a freely adjustable monitor allowing for relaxed working in any position. A large variety of peripheral devices may be connected up to the smartTOUCH 2015 system which provides interfaces for scanners, EFT terminals, cash drawers and many more POS peripherals. In addition the POS system may be upgraded with optional features such as fluorescent display, magnetic stripe reader, fingerprint reader, or a second screen.
