The organic food chain Alnatura has selected the POS solution from TCPOS. Beginning with the planned introduction of SAP Retail in 2014, new POS systems for more than 80 stores will be introduced in 2014.

The solution from TCPOS enables checkout processes at the store and can additionally be extended for sales of bakery products and drinks for consumption in the store. The POS systems will integrate the Paybackloyalty program to increase customer loyalty.

For about 20 years, Alnatura sells organic foods such as bread, cereals, sweet and savory snacks, dairy products and juices in more than 80 own stores in Germany and by trading partners in Germany and abroad. To support its expansion by using modern technologies, Alnatura plans to introduce SAP Retail enterprise-wide in 2014 and decided in a tender to implement new POS systems from TCPOS. The IT solution provider convinced Alnatura, because he can implement POS processes very quickly as a large set of standardized solution modules for mapping thePOS processes is already available within the system.

Alnatura sees the experience of TCPOS in bakeries as particularly advantageous. The POS offers the possibility to program the keys automatically with fast selling products and to use the mas shortcut keys. Alternatively it is possible to create anautomatic assignment of keys in alphabetic order on the touch screen. Depending on its preference, each store can select its listing individually; the implementation is done by the POS system automatically.

"We have opted for the POS solution from TCPOS to further optimize our processes and drive growth of our company," explains Jochen Krüger, regional representative of Alnatura Production and Trade GmbH. "We consider the general experience of TCPOS in retail and hospitality as extremely beneficial especially due to the multiple functions, which the POS system offers. We expect significant progress for our markets through effective and practical work with the new POS systems."

"Retailers can distinguish themselves today with POS systems offering a wide range of functionalities such as loyalty schemes and modern payment solutions - both of which lead to better customer loyalty and more sales," says Dirk Schwindling, CEO of TCPOS Germany. "We are pleased that the brand Alnatura which is popular among many consumers trusts in our solution."
