Sign-makers and signage buyers will be able to take advantage of a wealth of free content, interactive demonstrations and workshops at European Sign Expo 2016, 8-11 March.

The seminars and workshops will provide visitors with insights into industry trends and best practice, as well as emphasise user examples and impart business advice. Free to attend for visitors to European Sign Expo – as well as FESPA Digital and FESPA Textile – they will take place in Hall 2 every day of the event.

Highlights include: Adwords and SEO: the holy Google grail, presented by Andy Mindel, Founder of Wordtracker. For sign-makers wanting to know more about the use of mobile in digital signage, Frank Vallenga, Sales Director EMEA at BroadSign International discusses Mad about mobile: How personal screens drive success of public displays. The European Sign Federation will host one session on Friday morning looking at European Sign Code of Practice.

In addition, a daily panel discussion will take place at 12:00, chaired by Output Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief James Matthews-Paul and Editor Ben McCabe, who will be joined by experts from the sign industry. The discussions will look at topics including The future of signage in a connected world and Diversity and young people in the sign industry. The team from Better Letters will also take to the stage daily (Tuesday – Thursday) at 14:00 looking at ghostsigns, traditional sign-writing, and sharing their own experiences of working with signage.

Accompanying the free seminars will be the Sign Seminars demo area, in partnership with Better Letters and Ghostsigns. Here visitors can find Mike Meyer and David Kynaston from Better Letters working on two pre-designed panels throughout the event.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to have their name painted by a professional sign-writer. For those wanting to get involved, using a pre-designed template, they can ‘have-a-go’ at painting a chosen word themselves.

Duncan MacOwan, Head of New Media and Events, FESPA, comments: “There is so much for visitors to explore at this year’s European Sign Expo. The combination of seminars, panel discussions, demonstrations and ‘do-it-yourself’ features will provide sign-makers with the tools they need to grow their businesses. Whether a visitor is looking for business advice, insight and trends in the industry or to see the latest technology and products on the market, then there’s something for everyone. And with over 70 exhibitors dedicated to non-printed signage, there’s more than ever to see and do.”
