The third edition of European Sign Expo offers signmakers and signage buyers a focused environment to explore new horizons in non-printed signage. The 2015 event will also help visitors discover the future of signage - including digital signage - through its Ask the Experts feature.
European Sign Expo 2015 is 20% bigger than the 2014 event in Munich in terms of floor space, evidence of exhibitors’ positive experience of the first two events. Visitors to the show will meet with leading names from the European sign industry who will bring the latest developments in equipment, software, signage materials and systems, fittings and fixtures, channel lettering, illuminated signage, dimensional signage, engraving and etching.
Returning to European Sign Expo 2015 is the Ask the Experts feature, a dedicated networking hub where visitors and exhibitors can meet with the industry ‘leading lights’, attend daily panel discussions and debate a wide range of topics focused around digital signage.
Roz McGuinness, Divisional Director, FESPA, explains: “While the exhibits at European Sign Expo will focus predominantly on conventional non-printed signage, our Ask the Experts feature will concentrate on digital signage and will provide inspirational and practical support for anybody interested in digital signage or looking to expand their business into this area.
“We recently organised Ask the Experts at our Brasil Signage Expo in September 2014. The Expo and feature emphasised the demand in the market for a dedicated signage event and demonstrated the need for education and learning about digital signage, hence the decision to replicate the feature in Cologne in May 2015.”
Roz continues: “Printers and signmakers are realising that it doesn’t have to be an ‘either or’ market, but that printed and digital signage can, and do, complement each other. 40% of visitors to FESPA Digital and European Sign Expo 2014 stated that digital signage and live media was the key area of focus they’d like to see more of at FESPA events, and we think that the Ask the Experts feature is the perfect way to address this need.”
The last European Sign Expo took place alongside FESPA Digital 2014 from 20-23 May 2014 in Munich, Germany. Over the four days, 4385 unique visitors attended European Sign Expo specifically, with 80% travelling from outside of Germany. Roz adds: “When we launched European Sign Expo in 2013 our aim was to provide signmakers with valuable insights into the full spectrum of signage possibilities. With two editions of the show now behind us, we’ve developed the event, taking on board feedback from exhibitors and visitors, to shape a targeted event for the industry.”
