DIGITAL SIGNAGE EXPO 2013 and KIOSK EUROPE EXPO 2013 returned to The Station, Berlin on 12th and 13th June 2013. This year’s event attracted an audience of 2300 unique visitors from some of Europe's biggest organisations including Mercedes Benz, Tesco Stores, Metro Group and Deutsche Bank. Day one featured a fantastic series of seminars, culminating in the annual KIOSK EUROPE networking event.
The event also featured the Mobile meets POS conference, cementing the bond between mobile and self-service technology. Next year’s event will take place on the 21st and 22nd of May 2014 and is once again set to bring together the leading minds of the self-service industry.
The Venue
The show was held at The Station in Berlin, a recently renovated 19th Century building just 500m South of Potsdammer Platz. The contrast between classic industrial architecture and state-of-the-art 21st Century technology gave the event a unique character.
Market Insights
Leading experts from the self-service industry shared cutting-edge knowledge, experience and research findings that represented thousands of Euros worth of studies. There were many significant market insights; Björn Weber, Planet Retail discussed mobile retail technology; Christopher Colshorn, Netvico discussed his company’s German Railway project; and Steven Platt, PRI will returned to lead the EU Outlook Panel discussion.
Mobile Empowerment
The theme of KIOSK EUROPE EXPO 2013 and DIGITAL SIGNAGE EXPO 2013 was 'Mobile Empowerment'. Mobile apps and social media continue to transform the consumer world. In response to the shifting demands, KIOSK EUROPE EXPO 2013 teamed up with Frankfurt-based company Inspirato to present the ‘Mobile meets POS’ conference on 12th June, which offered a fresh take on mobile interactivity and the self-service industry.
Open Forum
The speaker programme for this year’s Open Forum was packed with keynotes, master classes and panel discussions with representatives from Provisio, Neuromerchandising Group, Planet Retail and many more.
