With recent studies on shopping cart abandonment finding that shipping cost plays the strongest role, e-retailers have to do everything that they can to convince shoppers to convert. Experts say that over $4 trillion is lost in sales each year in ecommerce simply due to cart abandoners, but the fix is rather simple: offer free shipping and convert ten times as many shoppers.
