Opticon Sensors Europe will be present at EuroCIS 2015
At EuroCIS, Opticon will be showcasing digital signage, electronic shelf labeling (ESL) and barcode scanning solutions.
Digital signage is a form of electronic display that shows information, advertising, pricing and other messages. Opticon's digital signs (such as full colour TFT screens, but also small sized e-paper based displays) can be found in public environments such as retail stores, corporate buildings, healthcare and logistics. The benefits of digital signage are that information can be presented more easily, prices can be adjusted instantly, and the signs can adapt to context and audience, even interactively.
Electronic Shelf Labeling, also known by the acronym ESL, is a system mainly used by retailers for displaying product pricing on shelves. The full graphical display can be remotely updated using a RF based communication network. Automated ESL systems reduce pricing management labour costs and improve pricing accuracy.
