The ebm-papst Group has earned the highest turnover of its corporate history. The world's leading manufacturer of fans and motors finished out the fiscal year ended March 31st, 2012 with sales revenue of 1.377 billion EUR (+5%). At the fiscal year-end, the fan specialist employed a staff of 10,564 worldwide.
Hans-Jochen Beilke, Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of the ebm-papst Group says, "After last year's euphoria, we have reached a healthy pace of growth. We have reinforced our leading position in the world market and are considered the undisputed technological leader in all relevant market segments. Consistently high expenditures in research and development and our long-held, consistent strategy of producing energy-efficient products that conserve resources are paying off."
ebm-papst will continue its research and development activities at a high level of some 72 million EUR. The focal point of development will remain innovations in the area of resource conservation and energy efficiency. Accordingly, the company's stated goal is to increase the proportion of innovative composite materials within its product portfolio to 15 percent by 2015.
In the previous year, the Group grew by 33%. In the current 2012/13 fiscal year, the technology company, which is focussed on energy-efficient products, expects a moderate increase in turnover of just under 3.3% to 1.423 billion EUR.
