Socket Mobile announced a hands‐free barcode scanning solution for processing mobile coupons. The Socket Mobile QX Stand will enable customers to securely scan electronic coupons by passing them under a Socket Mobile barcode scanner in auto detection mode without relinquishing control of their electronic devices.
Socket Mobile maintains a leadership position in the Cordless Hand Scanning market by listening to our customer’s needs. Driven by the significant increase in the number of mobile coupon users, our mPOS (mobile point of sale) customers requested a hands‐free scanning mode for an otherwise mobile requirement. “So we didn’t just design any stand, but a stand that complements our popular line of CHS Series 7 hand scanners” says’ Vince Coli, Product Manager for Socket Mobile.
Socket Mobile has more than 900 software application developers registered to use Socket Mobile’s software developer kit to enable Socket Mobile’s barcode scanners to be used in mobile point of sale, hospitality and other mobile commercial applications. Hundreds of applications have been introduced into the market and many more are under development.
Socket Mobile’s barcode scanners are designed for mobile use, are easy to connect and use with smartphones and tablets using Apple, Android or Windows operating systems, are attractively priced, and have a stylish look and feel in multiple colors for image conscious customers and retailers. When merchants place a CHS series 7Qi barcode scanner in the new QX Stand, customers can scan their coupons to redeem merchandise or present electronic coupons and tickets by passing their electronic devices or printed coupons under the barcode scanner.
The QX Stand will be available during August 2014. Read more about the Socket Mobile QX Stand: ww1.socketmobile.com.
