SATO has introduced a new value range of cost effective industrial label printers to help businesses ensure product traceability while boosting profitability and competitiveness.

Manufactured by Argox, a SATO company, the new range is designed to offer high printing quality and ease-of-use at a competitive price. As such, it is ideal for basic, lower volume labelling applications across retail, healthcare, manufacturing and logistics industries.

The first printer in the new series is the Argox X-2300E 4” 203dpi thermal transfer printer which is complemented by a 305dpi model. A full-size desktop printer accommodating an 8” media roll and 360M of ribbon, the X-2300E is quick and easy to configure and operate, thanks to an intuitive LCD display and operation panel that enables users to change settings and manage print jobs.

The printer can be easily connected for simple ‘plug-and-play’ operation as it includes multiple communication interfaces, Parallel, RS-232, USB, PS/2 keyboard and Ethernet. The most commonly used barcode printer language emulations are available. Further features include a 32-bit CPU, 8MB Flash and 16MB SDRAM onboard memory to ensure high print quality and speeds of up to 6 inches/sec. A real-time clock chip for date and time applications is provided as standard and label cutter and dispenser options are also offered.

“With our new value line we can now meet the needs of businesses who want to be able to produce high quality tags and labels without the cost of unnecessary features and functions,” comments Richard Scott, Product Manager at SATO Europe. “SATO is already known for providing high quality and reliable printers for high volume labelling duties and we are now well positioned to suit a broader range of lower volume applications where keeping costs down and gaining competitiveness are a top priority.”
