Here is news of the Retail Asia Expo 2009 that took place in Hong Kong a short while ago. The show proved to be a resounding success with almost every exhibitor rebooking during the show (with most taking larger booths) plus many visiting suppliers already booking booths for 2010. Retail Asia Expo 2010 will obviously be very much bigger next year.
There was a total attendance of 4,518. What we already knew from exhibitor feedback is that the quality of attendees was exceptional. Over one third were at senior level - owners, managing directors, general managers and senior retail management - and nearly 40% were from group operators. Many of the region's best known and biggest operators were there. It was a "who's who" of the region's top retailers, brands, architects and designers.
