At Passenger Terminal Expo Höft & Wessel’s ticketing and transport division Almex and software partner Materna will present a family of products for airports and airlines. It comprises the almex.express check-in terminal, almex.mobile all in one handheld terminal as well as the skeye.pad MPC handheld for on board sales. (Hall 8, Booth 412)
Presenting itself in an innovative, elegant design, the almex.express features the MASSAI CUSS platform from Materna, which is fully compliant with the current CUSS (Common Use Self Service) standard. This platform allows different applications to run on the almex.express check-in terminal simultaneously. Thus airlines or airports need not invest in multiple kiosk hardware because CUSS will handle their individual applications cost efficiently on one kiosk. The look of the check-in terminal is easily customized according to the corporate design of the airport or airline.
The almex.express being a modular system, it can be used for e-ticket handling as well as a fully automated baggage check-in device. In connection with a baggage drop off point based on the CUSS standard, the terminal supports baggage acceptance.
Serving passengers on board with duty free products, flight assistants can employ the almex.mobile as a portable payment terminal. The device is easy to handle and well accepted by the flight personnel. It handles all current credit cards and prints receipts on demand. Depending on the host software the almex.mobile based on Windows CE or the skeye.pad MPC based on Windows XP can handle the application.
