New Dallmeier Cam_inPIX® camera: DDF3000A4-DN PicoXL
As of now, the Dallmeier camera range includes a new Cam_inPIX® camera: the DDF3000A4-DN PicoXL. The design of the new DDF3000A4-DN PicoXL is modelled on the popular Picodome®, it is just slightly bigger.
The DDF3000A4-DN is a high-resolution UWDR Cam_inPIX® colour mini dome with dual mode UTP and BNC video output. The tri-axial gimbal adjustment allows for an easy and precise alignment of the camera.
The DDF3000A4-DN can be operated with both 12V DC and 24V AC power supply. It features a horizontal resolution of 540 TV lines, enhanced noise suppression and ICR function for Day/Night switching. The image quality can be enhanced by means of numerous control functions such as AWB, AGC, BLC and extended slow shutter. The configuration is conveniently carried out via UTC commands. Furthermore, the camera has been tested according to DIN EN 50130-4.
The DDF3000A4-DN is equipped with the latest generation of the innovative Dallmeier Cam_inPIX® sensor technology and is thus characterised by highest colour fidelity and richness of detail. Cam_inPIX® is a proprietary development by Dallmeier and is based on the Digital Pixel System® chipset from Pixim. Conventional cameras mostly have difficulties with clearly representing images that have a high range in contrast. This is because they are not capable of adjusting each pixel to particularly bright and dark areas within a scene. The patented Digital Pixel System® technology, however, empowers hundreds of thousands of pixels to act like individual cameras, constantly self-adjusting. This fully digital system enables cameras equipped with Cam_inPIX® or Pixim technology respectively, to efficiently capture the whole image, regardless of lighting condition or application. The cameras guarantee highest resolution, natural colour and clarity, while automatically eliminating image-compromising visual noise such as glare and reflections. The result is high-quality image material, even under the most difficult lighting conditions.
Another advantage of the Cam_inPIX® or Pixim technology respectively is the high cost saving for the complete system, which is possible thanks to the high dynamic range (UWDR) and the enhanced compression. For the more efficient video images are compressed, the lower their bit rates are, which consequently reduces file sizes. Reduced file sizes in turn reduce the network load and allow for an economical and cost-efficient storage of the image data. The simplification of the data transport as well as the storage directly translates into lower overall costs for the video security system.
