Compact, quality and unmatched coverage

The LC4 Wide Angle Ceiling Loudspeaker range from Bosch

  • Innovative acoustic technology providing wide frequency response in combination with a large pening angle per loudspeaker
  • Compact, lightweight design requiring minimum installation space
  • 6W, 12W and 24W versions with matching optional back box or fire dome

Bosch Security Systems' new LC4 series of flush-mount ceiling loudspeakers feature a very wide opening angle, significantly extending the coverage per loudspeaker. Thanks to the loudspeakers' extremely wide opening angle installers need fewer loudspeakers resulting in significant cost benefits.

Innovative acoustic technology
The series is based on innovative acoustic technology that has enabled Bosch to extend the opening angle without compromising the esthetic design of the speakers. In typical lowered and false ceiling applications the LC4 Wide Angle Ceiling Loudspeaker range realizes a large constant frequency coverage resulting in top quality audio and speech.

The compact size and light weight make this loudspeaker a perfect solution for applications with small install space such as hotels, cruise ships and office buildings with tight false ceilings. Combined with an unobtrusive design all this fits discretely into each ceiling.

Furthermore the speaker grill is removable and can be easily painted in the location's colors, resulting in an unobtrusive sound installation. Fixing of the flush mount ceiling loudspeaker is straightforward and easy by means of rotating screw clamps. The LC4 Wide Angle Ceiling Loudspeaker range offers a choice of a 6 W, 12 W and 24 W rated power at 100V (or 70V), each with a front selection of full power, half-power, quarter power and eight-power. They all have the same grille size and can be used in combination with the same mounting accessories, being an optional back box or metal fire dome. The LC4 loudspeakers have provisions on the rear to “snap-on“ an optional ABS back box. The combination of ceiling loudspeaker with back box prevents sound travelling via the ceiling cavity to adjacent areas, and fully protects the rear of the loudspeaker from dust or falling objects and makes the loudspeaker vermin proof. The Metal Fire-dome has a dual connection entry for loop-through cabling, provision for attachment of an optional safety steel cord and a click on connector.

The new series is currently undergoing certification for inclusion in Bosch's EN54-24 loudspeaker range for Voice Alarm applications. And in line with other EN54-24 certified ceiling loudspeakers from Bosch, the LC4 loudspeaker series is fitted with a ceramic terminal block (BS5839:8) and a provision for the optional mounting of a line supervision board.
