Bosch has entered into an agreement with Mirasys, a leading supplier of open platform Video Management Systems (VMS), which will allow users and integrators to implement comprehensive and centrally managed end-to-end video solutions.

Mirasys has joined the Integration Partner Program (IPP) of Bosch, which is designed to improve interoperability between Bosch’s products, soft-ware and storage solutions. With tight integration of the entire range of Bosch’s IP based video cameras into Mirasys’ Carbon VMS, customers using this management system can now benefit from all the advanced features of Bosch’s IP video technology, including in-camera analytics to support the Mirasys Open Analytics Platform.

To further strengthen the partnership and bring more value to the combined customer base, Bosch has also entered the Technology Partner Programme of Mirasys as a platinum partner.

This agreement gives Bosch access to pre-released technical information, product roadmaps and testing licenses to support future integration developments and compatibility with the Mirasys platform. End users and integrators alike will be able to benefit from open and highly scalable video architectures with advanced analytics capabilities.

As Mirasys supports hybrid environments with legacy and IP cameras, the co-operation between the two companies also opens an easy migration path from analog to IP for existing Mirasys customers. They can now benefit from the advanced features of IP cameras while at the same time protecting their in-vestments in legacy systems.

“We strive to partner with quality software solution vendors in the security market to deliver the best solutions to our customers, and I am pleased to welcome Mirasys to this initiative”, said David Lenot, Business Development Manager for Bosch Security Systems. “Mirasys has been growing fast and demonstrated technology leadership in open video management, and we are glad to work even closer with them to integrate our products for our joint customers’ benefit.”

“Because Bosch has new cameras with impressive price and performance ratio and optimized network use, and Bosch now looks for other best of breed products to support their cameras, the tight co-operation and partnership is a very good and attractive solution for Mirasys,” said Jukka Riivari, CEO of Mirasys. ”Our goal is to be the open partner of choice for anybody who wants to use Bosch cameras with outstanding integration. The additional differentiation for the partnership will be the use of Bosch Analytics in the cameras within Mirasys Open Analytics platform. We are a proud member of the Integration Partner Program of Bosch”.
