Sunnyvale, CA, a leader in digital engagement across the customer journey, today announced the appointment of former Nielsen vice chair Susan Whiting to Moxie's board of directors.

Susan is a C-level executive and board director supporting multi-national corporations as well as not-for-profit organizations in the U.S. For the past decade, she has served as a top advisor and director for consumer, technology and financial services companies, working with executive leadership, external business partners, clients and investors.

"Mobile has dramatically impacted the way consumers interact with each other and with brands, and few companies have developed a strategy for engaging with customers via mobile," said . "Moxie is well-positioned to fill this market void with its digital engagement technology, which allows organizations to consistently engage their customers across channels and devices."

Susan recently served as vice chair at Nielsen, leading global client relations, communications, marketing, public government affairs, corporate social responsibility, and diversity initiatives for the company. She retired from the company in January 2014 after a 35-year career, and played a critical role in building Nielsen's most visible franchise in television measurement during the cable, telecommunications and media industries' digital transition.

"Today's consumers want to connect with brands across multiple channels and devices, which means organizations face a key challenge of delivering seamless engagement throughout the entire online customer journey," said . "Susan's expertise in consumer behavior, technology and data privacy are significant assets to Moxie, and will help strengthen our strategy of delivering digital engagement products that meet the expectations of companies and consumers alike."

Susan currently serves on the board of directors for Alliant Energy Corporation and DJE Holdings. She is also actively involved in several community, educational and environmental organizations, including The National Women's History Museum, The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, The Trust for Public Land and Denison University. She is also a member of The Chicago Network, the Economic Club of Chicago, the International Women's Forum and the Tiffany's Circle of the American Red Cross. Susan has been involved in mentoring female business leaders around the world. She graduated from Denison University with a degree in Economics.
