Nowadays, digital media play an indispensable role in the fields of communication, advertising and guidance technology – a trend that netvico has not only supported from the outset but also significantly advanced. When Christopher Colshorn founded netvico ten years ago, a great deal of pioneering spirit and an even greater amount of conviction were necessary to steer the start-up company in the right direction. Today, netvico has grown to become a thirty-strong team. Besides its economic success, the company has also been awarded numerous design and technology awards – including the red dot award, the eco Internet Award and the if communication design award – all of which are testament to its entrepreneurial vision and creative drive. Quintessential to our long-term company policy, however, are the long-lasting ties we have developed with illustrious clients such as Daimler, IBM, BASF and SportScheck. Our partners particularly appreciate the fact that netvico offers them all services from one source: our media creation, design and software development departments are all under one roof.
One of the keys to our success is undoubtedly the inexhaustible innovativeness with which netvico has brought new technologies to market maturity almost every two years. The range of digital presentation media spans from illuminated pillars and light walls to LED flooring, all of which feature our own content management software technology »PlayEverywhere«. A major milestone was of course in 2005 when we launched the first digital guidance system, a pioneering innovation that helped us gain yet another reputable partner, Peek & Cloppenburg.
Despite our international and forward-looking approach, a key element of our company philosophy is that we source all our hardware components from local manufacturers. Our strong ties with the local area are also expressed in the promotion of artists from in and around Stuttgart, something that netvico has been consciously pursuing for a number of years.
Given today’s business environment, ten years is most definitely a respectable age. However, this is no reason to rest on our laurels. On the contrary, netvico’s latest development shows just how well-prepared it is for the future: »ONLY GLASS MEDIAFACADE« is the first digital media façade in which the functions of an LED display screen are combined with insulating glass. This product was created in association with Frerichs Glas and we believe that it will open up completely new opportunities for multimedia communication in urban environments.
