Torex helps Mothercare plan for expansion

Torex Pre Season Planning selected by Mothercare

Torex Retail Holdings Limited (Torex™), the leading global provider of innovative, integrated technology solutions to the extended retail marketplace, has been selected by Mothercare to deploy Torex™ Merchandise Planning (formerly Compass Merchandise Planning). The system will enhance Mothercare’s existing stock distribution planning with a scalable module that can be extended as Mothercare continues to grow its International presence.
Following Mothercare’s acquisition of The Early Learning Centre, the company has worked with two separate pre-season planning systems for its International division. Mothercare conducted a thorough review into the most appropriate system to meet its International planning needs before selecting Torex Merchandise Planning.

Gillian Berkmen, Group Brand and Commercial Director at Mothercare, comments, “With our plans for international growth, we required a supplier who could provide a simple to use, cost effective and scalable system. Torex was able to answer all of these needs, ensuring our customers have continuous access to fresh and appealing products.”
Helen Slaven, VP of Retail for Torex, adds, “We are delighted to have been selected to provide Mothercare with the solution to its International pre season planning needs. Through improving productivity in the areas of budgeting and planning, our solution will help the company to maintain and build on its success.”

The solution will be deployed over the coming months and will be installed and ready to use in early 2010.
