TCPOS accepts PayPal payments
In addition to its online offering, PayPal is now also available for bricks-and-mortar business
TCPOS extends its cashless payment range at the POS, adding the online payment provider PayPal offering customers payment via smartphone in stores and shops. On stand 22 in hall 9, at the trade show EuroCIS, which takes place from February 24 – 26, 2015, TCPOS also showcases the integration of the couponing apps Passbook from Apple and PassWallet for Android as well as its POS solution on mobile devices.
PayPal has more than 162 million users worldwide and more than 15 million users in Germany. In addition to its online offering, PayPal is now also available for bricks-and-mortar business. At the moment PayPal customers can pay cashless via smartphone in more than 200 places in Germany, mainly in coffee shops, restaurants and bars.
TCPOS provides payment of PayPal in its POS solution. The payment process is similar to the online procedure: The customer registers with PayPal. On the PayPal app he can see the location of stores and shops in his surroundings offering PayPal payment. At the POS he can just say “I’m paying with PayPal”. The POS system shows the image of the customer for verification of the payment process. Alternatively a QR code can be scanned.
„Payment with PayPal via smartphone is easy and effective for the customer”, explains Dirk Schwindling, CEO of TCPOS Germany. “A great benefit is that the transaction is very fast on both sides – customer and POS – avoiding additional waiting times due to complicated procedures.”
Passbook and PassWallet for coupon administration
Further integrations enable the use of the Passbook app for iPhones and the Android based app PassWallet for coupon administration and collection of tickets, invitations and bonus cards. Optionally, the virtual wallet can enable the transfer of selected e-Coupons. The customer also receives reminders of special promotions of the store.
POS on the smartphone
At the show TCPOS presents its POS solution on tablet PCs and smartphones. Using the solution DroidPOS the POS solution runs on smartphones and enables NFC payments via smartphone. DroidPOS is a complete online and offline POS with touchless payment.
