Sharp projectors provide brilliant performance with DLP technology and with LCD

With the new data and video projectors from Sharp presenters have one thing they no longer need to worry about – the reliability and optimal display of their presentations. Sharp is re-launching itself in three projector segments: in total four DLP projectors with the latest Brilliant Color technology from Texas Instruments (TI), a new LCD projector and a model with first-class 3-chip DLP technology. The models impress with a brightness of up to 6,000 ANSI lumens and are in the upper class of projectors.

With the new professional data and video projectors Sharp is providing a wide range of possibilities for business use – each with optimal performance in its respective area. In the process the DLP Brilliant Color technology combines high brightness with excellent contrast ratios. These features ensure that the projectors are suitable for professional conference room presentations or for the bright environment of the meeting room.

Both of the new Sharp projectors with the Brilliant Color technology from Texas Instruments (TI), PG-F320W and XG-F312X, each reach 3,000 ANSI lumens. The PGF320W impresses with a WXGA resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels and a contrast ratio of 2,000:1, while the XG-F312X is geared to an XGA resolution of 1,024 x 768 with a contrast ratio of 2,200:1. With the Brilliant Color technology a new colour wheel is used with six colours instead of the usual three. The colour reproduction therefore appears even more differentiated and the individual colour shades can be reproduced true to detail. The three additional colours also provide the DLP projectors with enhanced settings to improve the colour accuracy and the brightness of the secondary colours.

The display of the PG-F320W project is optimised for Notebook monitors in 16:10 format. This format corresponds exactly with the standard which is played back by the latest generation of Notebooks. The XG-F312X is a classic 4:3 projector, but can be switched to 16:9 mode for landscape presentations and weighs only a light 2.9 kilograms. Thanks to the Quick Start command button this projector is ready to start in the shortest time in any room.

The new 3-chip DLP model from Sharp, the XG-P610, is likewise being introduced with DLP technology from early 2008. Thanks to 3-chip DLP technology and a contrast value of 1.800:1 this 4:3 projector provides optimal high resolution results for meeting rooms of any size. In a 3-chip DLP system white light is directed through a prism, which divides the light up into the primary colours red, green and blue. Each chip is dedicated to one of these three colours and the red, green and blue reflections of the 3 chips are bundled and directed together through the lens. Thus creating a bright picture with a great range of tones.

With the XG-P610 it is possible to switch from the 4:3 to the 16:9 display without any problems and 16:10 display resolution like with Sharp's Brilliant Color series is currently being worked on. The two-lamp system with two times 280 watts performance provides a brightness of 6.000 ANSI lumens and in total seven different lenses enable different image representation thanks to horizontal and vertical lens shift. The XGA resolution of the XG-P610 of 1,024 x 768 makes this projector the optimal solution for ceiling installation in a range of conference room environments. The lens setting for this can be controlled via RS232, LAN (web browser) and also by remote control without any problems.

The LCD projector from the range of new products by Sharp is called the XGC465X and provides thanks to the 3 LCD panels and colour setting options presentations with a great range of tones. The XG-C465X is part of the C series from Sharp which will be expanded shortly and has a brightness value of 4,500 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 600:1. Modern features such as control via LAN/web browser as well as analogue and digital interfaces make this projector particularly future-proof. A lens is already included in the delivery, four further lenses are available as an option and allow for particularly flexible installation of the projector, because one of the available lenses will suit any meeting room perfectly. The XG-C465X also proves to be particularly versatile in its possible uses due to its good quality.

Regardless of which one a modern company chooses - Sharp projectors with state-of-the-Art DLP technology or mature LCD technology provide for any need and any budget the optimal solution each time.
