Jarltech, the European specialist distributor for POS and Auto-ID, has expanded its portfolio to include the newest Zebra mobile printer, the receipt printer EM220II. Zebra Technologies is one of the global leading providers of label, card and mobile receipt printers.

As an official Zebra distributor, Jarltech offers a wide spectrum of Zebra printers, as well as original consumables and accessories – directly from stock and available at short notice. All resellers, such as system and software houses, benefit additionally from warranties, configuration and marketing services from Jarltech.

The smallest and lightest mobile thermal transfer receipt printer from Zebra is the successor of the EM220. It combines professional receipt printing with the capability of communicating directly with smartphones and tablets via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. This allows for instant wireless sending of print data to the printer, thus opening up numerous application possibilities. When used as a mobile POS printer in hospitality and at events, users create receipts, bills and tickets directly on-site with the EM220II.

For connection to other mobile devices or wireless networks there is Bluetooth 3.0 or 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi connectivity available. Additionally, the EM220II supports the common ESC/POS protocol, guaranteeing seamless integration into software environments. With 8 dots/mm (203 dpi) the EM220II prints 58 mm wide receipts swiftly, plus its print speed of 90 mm per second actively supports the reduction of waiting times.

This mobile printer contains a powerful lithium-ion battery that provides users with uninterrupted operation, even during long working periods over eight hours. Its four-tiered battery display constantly and reliably informs about its energy level. With a weight of a mere 230 g, including battery, and dimensions of only 80 x 44 x 127 mm, the Zebra EM220II is a low-key, compact companion. Carry it easily in your pocket or fix it to your belt. There is also an optional shoulder strap available.

In order to expand the functionality of the printer, the EM220II is optionally available with an integrated magnetic stripe reader. Thus, credit card or customer loyalty card data is directly captured and systematically processed. The reader is integrated into the housing, and only comes out with the push of a finger.
