Martin McColl selects Star TSP100 futurePRNT printers for UK stores
Martin McColl is the UK’s leading neighbourhood retailing group with over 1,250 stores throughout England, Scotland and Wales. These comprise over 500+ Convenience Stores with over 400 of the estate having a Post Office.
Having considered POS printers from a variety of manufacturers Martin McColl selected the TSP100 futurePRNT printer from international printer manufacturer Star Micronics, given its excellent price/performance ratio.
The TSP100 futurePRNT has been incorporated into a POS solution developed by Torex which has been rolled out across the entire estate. The TSP100 futurePRNT offers high speed printing, exceptional print quality and a range of unique features including a number of software tools. These enable the overall appearance of receipts to be easily modified and customers to be effectively targeted through the addition of relevant vouchers.
Neil Hodge, General Manager IT, Martin McColl, states, "We have worked closely with Torex to develop a POS solution that incorporates the very latest in printing technology. The TSP100 futurePRNT was the ideal solution. As all settings are stored on the PC the printer was extremely straightforward to install across the estate. We have been entirely satisfied with the performance and reliability of the TSP100, particularly given the high throughput at many of our stores."
