Wincor Nixdorf signs reverse vending systems frame agreement with Coop Trading

Wincor Nixdorf has signed a frame agreement with Coop Trading, the internordic procurement company for Coop in Scandinavia, to equip their stores with reverse vending systems in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Under the agreement, Wincor Nixdorf reverse vending systems, which are designed to accept returns of one way and refillable containers, will be supplied and installed. This contract is due to run for three years. Coop in Scandinavia is the largest retail group with more than 3000 stores.  The decisive factor for entering into this agreement was Wincor Nixdorf offering cutting-edge-technology at  fair market prices. The agreement is a further milestone for Wincor Nixdorf in its efforts to expand into the Scandinavian retail market with reverse vending systems. Therefore Wincor Nixdorf with its broad portfolio for automating processes is in a very good position to benefit from further dynamic growth in this region.

Global demand for automated reverse vending solutions at retail outlets continues to rise. Wincor Nixdorf’s Revendo systems are fully tried and tested, can be deployed internationally and make a significant contribution to process optimization and cost reduction. The principal benefits of reverse vending systems lie in their capacity to reduce the need for manual work and to cut down on theft and waste. They are also broadly welcomed by retail customers, many of whom prefer them, especially on account of the shorter waiting times involved.
