Computerised touch-screen scale from the UC3 family

Joining the performance-class of computerised touch-screen scales: with the Value Line, METTLER TOLEDO is adding attractive starter models to the popular UC3 family of high-end models. Four alternative devices have been promised for service counter, pre-packaging and the incoming goods department.

10.4-inch TFT touch-screen, high-performance processor for fast reactions during service, as well as 256MB RAM – and all packaged in the familiar sturdy and attractive casings of the Advanced and Professional Line from the UC3-Line. Even at the first encounter, the Value Line leaves no room for doubt: they’re part of the UC3 family!

Interactive touch-screen convenience

“With the Value Line we are addressing all those who would like their scales to operate with touch-screen con-venience, but have no use for the full performance poten-tial of our Advanced and Professional Lines”, explains Daniel Joha, Head of Marketing Management Retail at METTLER TOLEDO. “Anyone who needs a lot of space on the hard drive and no-nonsense performance for visual merchandising and interactive cross selling with texts, images and videos on the customer display, or who would like to use the UC3-Line with applications from external providers, will still decide in favour of one of the models in our Advanced and Professional Lines. However, those who, above all, require touch-screen convenience and flexibility, will find the Value Line of the UC3-Line range is offering attractive solutions for all departments.”

Model portfolio

The UC3-HT from the Value Line is proving to be a real all-rounder for the service counter: the scales, which are based on the top-selling model HT-P from the Professional Line, can either be equipped with a colour screen in STN-technology, or with a rotatable display. Requiring little space, with an adjustable TFT-service display: if you are looking for flat compact scales for your sales counter, the UC3-CT is the right one for you. The two technically identical models: UC3-SPCT, applicable without the customer display in the pre-packaging, as well as the UC3-CDDT scales for connection to weigh-bridge scales, round off the Value Line range.

All of the Value Line scales support the standard performance features of the UC3-Line. Those include among others; help functions and information texts, differential pricing scale functions, extensive cancellation functions, inventory and tare options and an individually configur-able reporting system. Just as for the models from the Advanced and Professional Lines, proof of origin, special offers, receipt configuration, cash register functions and electronic cash are available as optional applications. All Value Line Scales use the operating system Windows CE.  The launch date for Value Line is mid-2009.
