The company history of EXPRESSO Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG goes back to the founding of the August Manss company in 1939. Since 1945, the company has been headquartered in Kassel/Germany, and since 1990, it has been part of the Joachim Loh Group (JLU). The EXPRESSO Group currently employs about 180 people in several international branches.

The company is a premium manufacturer of manual transport equipment, powered handling and transport systems and smart shopping carts. Baggage cart systems and system solutions for loading technology and loading safety complete the portfolio. EXPRESSO also offers numerous customer-orientated services relating to maintenance, repair and spare parts management. Digital services and IoT solutions now also play an important role.

Worldwide, EXPRESSO Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG serves customers in industry, logistics, retail and trade. The company manufactures in Germany and is certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and DIN EN ISO 14001. All products and solutions are characterised by high functionality, modularity, safety and ergonomics.

In 2024, the company received the Top 100 seal as an innovation leader among German SMEs for the fourth time. In 2019, it was awarded the Top Job seal as an attractive employer, and since 2021 it has achieved top positions (bronze/silver) in the ratings of the international rating agency EcoVadis every year. EXPRESSO's hand truck and the lift2move lifting aid are listed as the brand of the century in the German Standards.
